Church Family

Newchurch Choir

Choir rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings in the Family Room from 7 to 8 pm.  As well as taking part in the services on Sunday mornings and for special services, the choir also sings at weddings on a regular basis and is much in demand. There is always room for new singers- come along and try us out for a few rehearsals-you will be most welcome!

There are no voice tests and you will  not be 'put on the spot.' Feel free to either have a chat with one of the choir members after a Sunday service, or at a rehearsal; or ring the Choirmaster, Bill Grimshaw, on 01925 762394.

MC²-Christian Musicians Of Croft and Culcheth.

As our name suggests, we are an interdenominational group of musicians and provide music for hymns and worship songs at Newchurch and Christchurch during services on a regular basis and perform a range of concerts during the year.

We meet in the Family Room at Newchurch on Thursday evenings from 8.15 to 9.30pm.  If you play an instrument and would like to try us out, then please feel  free to come along to a rehearsal-you would be most welcome!! If you would like more information call Hilary Morgan on 01925 827543. Don't worry if you think it might be too hard - just play what you can. We enjoy making a  joyful (if not always 100% accurate) noise

Newchurch Bellringers

The Ring of eight bells at Newchurch was installed in 1923 and vary in weight from 2.5cwt(128kg) to 12.25cwt(625kg).  They can be heard ringing on Sundays for the 10.30am service, ie. from about 10.00am.  The band of ringers have learned the skill of handling a tower bell, but we welcome new ringers both novice and experienced our aim is to keep the bells of Newchurch ringing!  The bells can also be heard on other occasions such as at weddings or when bands of visiting ringers ask to ring the bells at Newchurch.

Newchurch Mothers' Union
